New Big Event!

All right so I am all excited to fill you all in on this event I have had the wonderful honor of being the "Pastry" Chef of . This event has completely warmed my soul and as you all know sometimes there are things the we get asked to be involved in take some much out of you that you almost feel like your wasting all of your hard work. THIS is sooooo not that for me. This if I am not careful may take over the rest of my free time.  But I probably should tell you about the event right?!? Ok so this event is a Dessert Dance. We have an amazing band called Swing Shift they are a 22 member jazz band (neat right) and I will be providing the Desserts, an elaborate display of what I can do. Which will be soo much fun for me. I am actually really going to get into the projects over this week so I know every thing I will need to do. This event is to help raise money for the Orphan Care Center in Zimbabwe. We have an amazing group called the Zimbabwe Mission partnership. Now the part that really gets me is Roberta our leader has been actively going to Zimbabwe since early 90's. She has worked with the feeding center to get the orphans to come in and eat food that not only feeds them to feel full but actually in nourishing, here is what kills me, the kids are no longer coming in because they are tired of eating the same thing every day and would rather eat dirt to make them selves feel full. (ummmm I think I would get to the point to if I were them) So what we are doing is raising money to get more food and variety of food to the feeding center in a hope that the children will come back to eat. Now keep in minds that most of the kids are the heads of their homes. So we are going to do this dessert dance, we are charging $20 per person and this is all a tax right off for the tickets! So I am posting this out to the world. If you are interested let me know.
